Description   Universal replacement cork for your flute or piccolo Loosen and remove the crown from your head joint. Use your tuning rod to push out the cork from the crown end (where the crown was). Unscrew the cork mechanism and remove the old cork. You may have to cut it off if its old. A utility knife works well. Please be careful! Cut the new cork to the length of the old cork and install it. Push the cork mechanism back into the head joint from the large end (where it attaches to the flute). Use your tuning rod to set the cork's position. Notice the line around the rod near one end. Push the assembled cork in until the line shows up in the center of the blow hole. Reassemble the crown and you're done!
